HCCA

Information, Advice & Support

We offer a range of information, advice and support at HCCA to those living in the Holbrooks Community. We work in partnership with many organisations in the City including Coventry Independent Advice Service and Coventry and District Credit Union, so if we can't help you, we know somebody who can.

At the centre, we can support with:

  • Blue Badge Applications
  • Household Support Fund Applications
  • Food Bank Vouchers
  • Homefinder Registrations
  • Coventry City Council based services.
  • Identifying and signposting to services that can better support you such as Coventry Independent Advice Service.

Access to the Digital World

HCCA recognises that in this day and age, everything is easier online, from benefit claim forms to shopping, to booking holidays. Not everybody has access to computers or the Internet, so we have computers and wifi on hand for the community to use.

For those who are not confident in using digital devices,  on a Friday afternoon, we have a Digital drop-in service, provided in partnership with #CovConnects, to provide support with learning to use computers, phones and tablets.

We also provide access to a printer for which we charge a small fee of 20p per side in black and white, and 50p per side in colour.

Holbrooks Library

Holbrooks Library is based at our centre on Holbrook Lane, by the park.

On Tuesday's and Wednesdays, the library is "Self Service" where library members can book out and return books via the machine based in the centre. On a Thursday the library is staffed by Bhuvana, who will be able to order books and answer any library based questions.

Holbrooks  Library boasts a large children’s area fitted with many books and activities for children of all ages. This area also has chairs for adults whilst their children play. The Library holds many books from graphic novels to the classics.

On Thursday Mornings, bring your little ones to play, at Rhyme Time from 10:00 am to 11:00 am

For further details contact Bhuvana at HCCA on a Thursday.
